Charlecote Park testimonial

“Thank you for the excellent creative photography course on Saturday. Time always seems to go past so quickly, but I am grateful that you were so willing to impart your knowledge to help me become a more creative photographer.

I will always now ensure I check to see exaclty what I am photographing, looking for the stray branch or cropped spire !!!

I will try different setting with more confidence and will look to buy a 50 mm prime lens soon so I can start playing with the short DOF lens offer.]

I will of course recommend your courses to all my friends who are looking to take their photography to the next level.

Thank you again

– Richard Fletcher

Thanks for those kind words Richard – hope to see you again soon!

Photography Course in Birmingham in the cold

Posted in Uncategorized on January 7th, 2010 by Phil and Rachel – Be the first to comment

Our photography course in Birmingham took place despite the snow, while Rachel took up her new post in Bewdley. It was extremely cold, and Phil took a couple of pictures to prove it!!

Statues have a hard time too!

Just goes to show that rain wind or snow won’t stop us from delivering a photography course!

Shallow depth of field strikes again!

We like shallow depth of field pictures – the fact that so much of the picture is out of focus tells the viewer where to look! This can help enormously if you’re taking pictures in a cluttered environment like a radio studio.

So here’s Hursty, the new presenter at Wyvern FM who started today in a couple of shots that show what you can do with shallow depth of field to make drama and emphasise the subject. Rachel was asked to do these for the Wyvern website.

Photography Teacher Rachel takes up new post

Although photography courses and real photography are what she does most of the time, Photography Made Simple co-founder and qualified teacher Rachel Hibberd has a new string to her bow as Artist In Residence and teacher of A level Photography at Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre in Worcestershire. The interest in enrollment in A level photography has increased substantially for September 2010.

We see this as a great fit with Photography Made Simple, as the school benefit from the inspiration and experience of a professional photographer, and Photography Made Simple benefits from the access to the latest curriculum and teaching methods. Everybody wins, but particularly the sixth-formers of Bewdley. Well done Rachel!
