Our digital photography courses teach beginners to learn and enjoy photography in some of the most popular and beautiful locations in the UK.
Most people take some good pictures sometimes, but aren’t sure how they did it. If you’d like to increase the proportion of photographs that you’re proud of, we have a class for you. And if you know someone who’d benefit, we have a ‘learn photography’ gift certificate for them too! We think everyone can take good pictures, regardless of age, sex and make of camera and have designed our photography courses accordingly.
Our digital photography courses can be found at more than a dozen venues around the UK with breathtakingly beautiful settings in England, Scotland and Wales – click on the photography course or a location for more information. We can also come to you – click on the cartoon of the van for prices and information.
At all these locations we pay for your entry ticket and provide refreshments including a light lunch – just bring your camera!

If you have a new DSLR or bridge camera, you’ll know that modern cameras have a bewildering set of menus knobs and dials, some of which make a huge difference to your pictures, some of which don’t seem to do anything. We’ll help you sort out which settings are worth altering, and how to get the best results for your style of photography.
How do you compose pictures worth keeping? Digital cameras give you plenty of opportunity to create and store images, but these can be disappointing even if the camera makes them technically perfect. We look at composition for both portrait and landscape pictures, and give tips and practical exercises for both. You can produce considered, worthwhile pictures rather than snaps, and we’ll show you how.
